I recently registered for She Runs The Night, the 10km Nike fun run around Sydney’s Centennial Park. I missed the registration cut-off last year, and experienced a serious case of FOMO (fear of missing out) when happy sweaty post-run dancing photos of my friends popped off all over social media.
Not this year! The run is in early May, so I’ve amped up my running training in preparation. I’ve never been a hard-core runner, years of netball, basketball and too many twisted ankles makes long distance road running a bit of a strain. I try to stick to a minimum of 5kms, with some kettle bell weight training to finish off a work-out.
