Maca choc bliss balls

Maca is a powdered root that has a mild malt flavour and has been used for centuries to help balance hormones, increase energy, boost libido (ooh la la!) and is also rich in essential B vitamins.

You can find maca in all health food stores. Combined with cacao and the sweetness of Medjool dates it creates a slightly caramel flavour.

To make Maca Choc Bliss Balls, process all ingredients together until the crumb sticks together in your fingers. Roll into balls and then dust with little left over cacao. Firm up in the fridge.

  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder and a little for rolling
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder
  • 8 Medjool dates
  • pinch sea salt

  1. Wow these maca balls look great. I’m a great fan of maca and I’ve been taking it as a part of my daily diet to boost my energies for almost 2 years now. I’m working very long hours and I discovered that maca in the morning helps me to get through these long work days and have some more energies to take care of my family as well.
